Christmas Reminders

Thursday 14th December

·         Nursery Christmas parties will be held on Thursday 14th December.  Children can come into school wearing party clothes and bring a plate of party food, clearly labelled with their name.  Please do not send nuts.

 

Friday 15th December

·         Christmas/Sparkly Jumper Day – children are invited to wear their Christmas/Sparkly jumper to school on Friday 15th December and bring in a donation for our Christmas Fayre.  This year can we ask for the following items;

          Nursery, reception, Year 1 and Year 2 – bottles (unopened and in date, please send alcohol to the school office)

          Year 3, 4, 5 and 6 - any chocolate items please, again, unopened and in date.

 

·         9am – Year 3 brass assembly.  Please return slip to school if you are able to attend.

 

·         Our kitchen will be serving Christmas dinner on Friday 15th.

 

·         Year 1,2,3,4,5 and 6 will have their Christmas party on Friday 15th December.  Can year 1 and 2 please bring a plate of party food clearly labelled with their name (no nuts).  Year 3, 4, 5 and 6 do not need to bring any food.  Children will already be wearing their Christmas/Sparkly jumper so do not need to bring any other clothes.

 

·         Year 4’s last swimming lesson will be on Friday 15th December.

 

Monday 18th December

·         Carol Service - Our annual Carol Service will be held at St Paul’s church on Monday 18th December at 1.30pm, with all children walking to church to take part at 1pm.  All parents are welcome to attend and if you are able to help escort children to the Church we would be very grateful.  Please let your child’s class teacher know if you are able to do this.  Children who are playing/singing will also be attending rehearsal in the morning.

 

Tuesday 19th December

·         School Fayre at 1.40pm - Our school brass band will be opening the fayre at 1.45pm and all children will be making things to sell on school stalls.  Father Christmas will also be making an appearance in his grotto for which you should have received a letter to book a slot.  If you would like to collect your child at 1.40pm to enable you to visit the fayre with them, then please collect your child from the doors listed below and the teacher will sign them out.  Please note that once children have been signed out, then they will be your responsibility for the rest of the afternoon.  To reduce queues, children can be collected from various external doors as follows:

·         Nursery conservatory door

·         Reception – Reception external classroom door

·         Year 1 –  Year 2 conservatory doors

·         Year 2 –  Year 2 conservatory doors

·         Year 3 – Mrs Tilby’s door

·         Year 4 – Mrs Bradley’s door

·         Year 5 – Mrs Patel’s door

·         Year 6 – Mrs Comery’s door

 

·         Children break up for Christmas on Tuesday 19th December as Wednesday 20th December will be a training day.

 

·         Children return to school on Wednesday 3rd January 2018.
