Parent PSHE, Relationships and Sex Education (RSE) Consultation

From September 2020, it was a statutory requirement that all schools in England and Wales are teaching Relationship, Health and Sex Education as a fundamental part of the curriculum. Due to Covid 19, the date to implement this curriculum was reviewed and schools were given until Summer 2021 to begin this process.

As part of implementing the RSHE curriculum, schools must have consulted with the children, parents, staff and governors to ensure there is a general consensus on our approaches to policy and the curriculum content.

Parents were consulted during the Summer Term in 2021.  Below you will find a summary of the parent survey, along with school's response to parental queries. 

Also attached is a copy of school's PSHE, Relationships and Sex Education Policy and information on all the content of the curriculum taught at Highfields.
