Welcome to Highfields Primary School

I hope that this website will provide you with lots of useful information. If, after looking through the website you have any questions, we will be more than happy to help and to answer queries through the ‘contact us’ tab.

Highfields is a happy, safe and caring two-form entry primary school welcoming approximately 470 children aged from 4 to 11. Children from a variety of backgrounds and cultures attend Highfields, which makes us a vibrant and exciting place to be! Our staff and Governors share a common vision and a commitment to ensure that all of our pupils are exposed to a knowledge-rich curriculum, full of exciting learning opportunities, which prepare them for the ever-changing world that they are growing up in. We ensure all children, staff and Governors have high aspirations both socially, creatively and academically. We are passionate, committed and share a firm belief that all children have the right to reach their full potential. At Highfields, we recognise the importance of establishing strong relationships between home, school and the community, and we pride ourselves on the positive partnerships that we create in order to be able to make Highfields a place where children’s safety and wellbeing is central to all that we do here.

As Headteacher, I am extremely proud of our school and the achievements of everyone within it. I hope that you enjoy learning about our school from the information on the following pages and that you might take the time to come and see what we do in order to make sure all our children are provided with ‘roots to grow and wings to fly’.
