Y4 Ben Semp (artist) Visit

On 24th January 2024, Ben Semp came to school to work with our Year 4 children. We looked at the Russian artist, Viktor Hartmann. The children used the paintings to create doodles, allowing their pencils to draw freely on the page. After completing the doodles, Year 4 tried to spot pictures within them and then added extra details. Their final piece was drawn onto a canvas. To start with, the children had to do a colour wash using gradation and then continued to paint the final details. Have a look at the final work in the art visit gallery.
